It started off as just a vision. It quickly turned into a concrete idea, though, that is still unparalleled today. That was how the "Halbe magnetic frame" was born all of 30 years ago. A solution that allows fast and simple framing from the front – ensuring maximum convenience and functionality.

The magnetic principle is the foundation for all the frames in our range. Every Halbe frame consists of three main elements: the base element, the glass and the profile. The base element is a combination of a dimensionally stable hard foam board and a sheet steel frame. Projecting edges allow the picture, passepartout and glass to be inserted and fixed quickly and easily.

The pH-neutral hard foam board (PAT-tested, IPI Rochester) boasts high flatness and on the front and rear has a white, acid-free top coat as well as an aluminium barrier layer to protect against humidity.

The profile consists optionally of aluminium or solid wood. Special adhesive magnetic strips on the insides ensure that the profile frame adheres fully and perfectly to the base element during insertion. The constant magnetic force means that the magnetic frame suffers no loss of functional reliability.

The profile frame can be detached from the base element by just pressing your thumb gently against the glass. Then lift the glass out of the base element. You can now position your picture on the hard foam board just where you want it. Insert the glass again and press on the profile frame – it will adhere magnetically to the sheet steel frame. And that's it – your picture is perfectly framed.
