I have been part of the HALBE family since 1985 and there have been so many wonderful moments that I would have to write a book. I came by chance and talked to the boss Hubert Halbe. They were indeed looking for a welder for the first passepartout-frame, that's how I got my job. Besides welding, I sawed profiles and bent the sheet metal. Then the old workshop foreman became ill and I took over his tasks. I learned my skills from my father and my older brothers on the farm, whom I always looked over the shoulder. The first time I welded and turned was when I was 8 years old. For my work, it is very important to me personally that I can develop and repair machines, tools or spare parts myself and if they run better afterwards than before - all the better. The best moment is when a fixed idea or a drawing is turned into something that works. My favourite frame is one of the first jersey frames. It is in my workshop, in which I have hung a band shirt, which is illuminated from the inside.
I'm Patrik and I'm responsible for everything from processing and prototyping to building and repairing machines. I design, turn, drill, mill, weld, saw, bend and keep everything running. My favorite thing is to build machines that don't exist anywhere else. Before we buy something new, we try to repair the machine. Nothing is thrown away so quickly. My speciality is measuring with a tape measure to the "tenth". They also call me "MacGyver", because I have an idea for every problem and can also implement it.

I've been working here since summer 2022. I was made aware of the job advertisement by my brother and I'm still incredibly happy about it today. Due to my position, I have already worked on all the machines and places in the company - from the basement to the roof. In every department, I am constantly reminded of the importance of cleanliness, tidy work, and working together in a collegial and respectful manner. My favorite frame is a CLASSIC wood 22 in black oak 1500x600mm. A funny moment is that I ordered a frame on site in December 2021 and moved into my desk in the office less than six months later. It's funny how life works.

I've been working here since October 2023. I know David through our shooting club and not so long ago we were talking about his plans to buy a machine. Then he spontaneously asked me if I wanted to start working for him and build the machine myself. I didn't have to think about it for long. Now I work in maintenance. I attach great importance to top technology.
