I've been part of the HALBE family since 1985, and there have been so many wonderful moments that I should write a book. I happened to be passing by and spoke with the boss, Hubert Halbe. They were actually looking for a welder for their first passe-partout frame, and that's how I got the job. Besides welding, I sawed profiles and bent sheet metal. Then the old workshop foreman got sick, and I took over his duties. I learned my skills from my father and older brothers on the farm, whom I constantly watched. I first welded and turned metal when I was just eight years old. For my work, it's very important to me that I can develop and repair machines, tools, and spare parts myself, and if they run better afterward than before—all the better. The best moment is when something actually works comes out of a whimsical idea or a drawing.
My favourite frame is one of the first jersey frames. It's located in my workshop, where I've hung a band shirt that's illuminated from the inside.
In our Development & Maintenance department, we make sure that everything runs smoothly at HALBE. We - Patrik, Stefan and Niklas - make sure that machines work perfectly, technical processes are optimized and new solutions for production are developed. With our technical know-how, an open eye for improvements and a great deal of commitment, we keep the technology running.

I've been working here since summer 2022. I was made aware of the job advertisement by my brother and I'm still incredibly happy about it today. Due to my position, I have already worked on all the machines and places in the company - from the basement to the roof. In every department, I am constantly reminded of the importance of cleanliness, tidy work, and working together in a collegial and respectful manner. My favorite frame is a CLASSIC wood 22 in black oak 1500x600mm. A funny moment is that I ordered a frame on site in December 2021 and moved into my desk in the office less than six months later. It's funny how life works.

I've been working here since October 2023. I know David through our shooting club and not so long ago we were talking about his plans to buy a machine. Then he spontaneously asked me if I wanted to start working for him and build the machine myself. I didn't have to think about it for long. Now I work in maintenance. I attach great importance to top technology.
