During a period of 8 years, the photographer Véronique Kolber travelled several times to the "States". This resulted in her AMERICAN DIORAMA , a very personal photo series inspired by Eggleston and Shore about her travels and everyday life in America. Inspired by films and her own experiences as a film set photographer, Véronique Kolber developed this project to its present form: "fictitious location spotting for a non-existing movie".

Leica Gallery Stuttgart

Leica has opened another Leica Store with gallery in Stuttgart. The opening will feature an exhibition to mark the eightieth birthday of photographer Herlinde Koelbl.
From 28 August to 03 November 2019, f³-freiraum für fotografie in Berlin will show the exhibition "Greenpeace Photo Award" with works by the winners of the award Ian Willms and Pablo E. Piovano.

Walter Schels - LIFE

Within the exhibition series " Heroes of Hamburg" the portrait photographer Walter Schels presents his works on the subject "LIFE", in which he tries to answer the question what actually constitutes a human being. The exhibition can be visited until the 3rd of October in the Haus der Photographie/Deichtorhallen Hamburg.

"Stories from China"

This year Berlin and Beijing celebrated the 25th anniversary of their city partnership. On this occasion, the exhibition "Stories from China" took place, in which eight photographers from China and Germany presented their works, which showed different perspectives on China.

"In [Un]Retirement"

From June 15 to August 18, 2019, the exhibition "Im [Un]Ruhestand" (In [Un]Retirement) will take place at f³-freiraum für fotografie in Berlin. Presented are over 200 portraits by the Lübeck-based photographer Arne Wesenberg, who for over seven years accompanied those who are still gainfully employed in their retirement for a variety of reasons
From March 10 to May 5, 2019, Ivan Köves' photographs documenting the cityscape of Marl in the 1960s will be on display at the Rathaus Gallery in Marl.

From 14.12 2018 to 08.03 2019 the TEN Gallery in Mannheim shows the exhibition ONE WAY with photographs by Andrea Klein and Ralf Müller. On display are photos from a road trip through the "Flyover States".

#womenphotographer Vol. I

From December 6, 2018 to February 10, 2019, the exhibition #womenphotographer Vol. I will take place at f³ - freiraum für fotografie in Berlin. The focus here is on the works of outstanding female photographers of the 20th century.

"Reifen wie der Baum..."

The exhibition entitled "Reifen wie der Baum..." has been on display since 11 November in the atrium of the Manfred Sauer Foundation in Lobbach (Rhine-Neckar district). On display are 37 large-format tree photographs by nature photographer Andreas Held and 25 impressive wooden sculptures by Franz Musiol. The exhibition runs until 27 January 2019.
Designer and photographer Martin Stockberg is exhibiting his works in the foyer of the FDP parliamentary group in the Düsseldorf state parliament until 18 December 2018. Under the title "Art in and with nature", Stockberg presents his works of art, which are made exclusively with natural materials

Birgit Kaulfuß: ANNAHME

Since September 7, photographer Birgit Kaulfuß presents her first solo exhibition "ANNAHME" in Berlin, which depicts a multifaceted thematic world. The focus is on the relationships between seemingly contradictory subjects. The exhibition is still open until September 16, 2018.

"QUERdenker entdecken die Vielfalt"

Since May 25, visitors have been able to marvel at the exhibition "QUERdenker entdecken die Vielfalt" ("Out of the box thinkers discover diversity") in Rostock at the Staatliches Amt für Landwirtschaft und Umwelt Mittleres Mecklenburg, or StALU MM for short. Pupils of the Erasmus-Gymnasium Rostock designed the corridor of the 11th floor of the Rostock State Office with their own paintings and photos.

"Jin - Jiyan - Azadi" Women, Life, Freedom

From 18 August to 07 September 2018, visitors can marvel at the exhibition "Jin - Jiyan - Azadi" Women, Life, Freedom with photos by Sonja Hamad. The photographer travelled to northern Syria and northern Iraq in 2015 and 2016 to document the everyday life of Kurdish women who have joined the freedom struggle of guerrilla fighters and women's defence units. The photographs show impressive portraits of the women, whose faces reflect events of past experiences, as well as landscapes and detail shots.

"Facets of a Hamburg Life"

The exhibition "Foto Germin - Facets of a Hamburg Life" will be held at the Central Library Hamburg from 19.07 to 30.08 2018. On display are pictures by the photographer Germin, which portray the city of Hamburg in relation to the world of work, urban development and reconstruction
At the Galerie von Braunbehrens in Stuttgart, the artist couple Daniel and Geo Fuchs presented their photo series Nature and Destruction from June 8 to July 14, 2018, which focuses on the preservation and destruction of nature through a special new technique.

"Where love is illegal"

From 22 June to 2 September 2018, the exhibition "Where love is illegal" will take place at f³ - freiraum für fotografie in Berlin. Robin Hammond's photographs will be exhibited on the occasion of the Pride events that are currently being held throughout Europe

Keji - On the Banks of the White Nile

Since 28 June 2018, L'Atelier in Pontresina has been showing photos by Gian Giovanoli in its current exhibition entitled "Keji - On the Banks of the White Nile", taken directly from the heart of South Sudan and depicting the life of the Mundari people.

Prince House Gallery at the Photo Basel

From June 12 to 17, the Prince House Gallery was a guest at Photo Basel. Works by Gerhard Vormwald, Robert Häusser, Otto Steinert, Peter Mathis and many other artists from the gallery were presented here.

HALBE Frame at the "horizons zingst

From 26 May to 3 June, the environmental photography festival "horizons zingst" took place in Zingst for the 11th time. The diverse photographs this year were under the motto: nature, culture, photography and encounter. As always, the focus was on the joy of photography. The exhibition of the photographer Tom Jacobi was presented in HALBE frame.
In the Neue Galerie im Höhmannhaus in Augsburg the exhibition Nature & Destruction by the artist couple Daniel and Geo Fuchs takes place from 23.02 to 15.04. For this series the couple has used a new technique. A robot camera delivers the image material, which was put together to a new picture

PortrAid - Get art. Give work.

From February 14 - March 7, visitors could see the exhibition PortrAid - Get art. Give work. exhibition at the DRIVE. Volkswagen Group Forum in Berlin. One could see 38 photographs of weavers in Ethiopia. The ABURY Foundation intends to use the proceeds from the photographs to purchase new looms

BFF in the NRW Forum

From 16 February - 20 May 2018, visitors can marvel at the exhibition of various photo series by the famous photographer Herlinde Koelbl at the NRW Forum Düsseldorf. The exhibition takes place in the context of the BFF tribute to Herlinde Koelbl

Back to nature with photographs

From 5 February - 16 February 2018, the exhibition "Down to Earth" by photographer Denis Piel took place at the Phillips in London. The theme of this series deals with nature and sustainable living in it.
On February 1, 2018, the exhibition Kriegskinder by Frederike Helwig and Anne Waak started at f³ - Freiraum für Fotografie in Berlin. The exhibition portrays people who experienced war first hand and captures their memories
From January 27 - April 8, 2018, the exhibition Fremde Blicke will take place at the Kunstmuseum Ravensburg. The new series "City Portraits" by the successful photographer Marcus Schwier will be launched in this context. The focus is on a somewhat different view of the city of Ravensburg

LYS - An Hommage to the Light of the North

Four years, four countries, two photographers, one aesthetic signature for the whole North - LYS. "Lys" - the Norwegian and Danish word for light could not be more fitting for a project dedicated to the magical light of the North! Over a period of four years, renowned nature photographers Sandra Bartocha and Werner Bollmann have travelled the landscapes of Scandinavia


The great photographer Walter Schels is presented to the art world for the first time by ABTART Stuttgart. Over 200 of his works will be shown, including photographs of celebrities such as Josef Beuys, Andy Warhol and the Dalai Lama, but also portraits of transsexuals, newborns, the dying, as well as people in the park and animals. The exhibition is curated by Klaus Honnef.
BFF photographer Dominik Paunetto recently exhibited his series "Chicago fog" at Dezernat 16 of Heidelberg's Creative Industries Center as part of OFF//FOTO 2017. These are black and white architectural photographs from Chicago.

Photobastei Zurich - Miroslav Tichý

The current exhibition with around 140 works by Miroslav Tichý is on show at Photobastei Zurich until 5 November. Curator Adi Hoesle takes the visitor on a virtual journey through Tichý's hometown Kyiov.

From August 10 - September 6, 2017, the exhibition POST-TRUTH took place in New York. The photographer Sebastian Perinotti exhibited his images in HALBE frames
