Leica has opened another Leica Store with gallery in Stuttgart. The opening will feature an exhibition to mark the eightieth birthday of photographer Herlinde Koelbl.
This year the legendary New York rap group of the Wu Tang Clan celebrates the 26th anniversary of their first album. Now, a new exhibition by Absolut Art showed established and emerging contemporary artists who have been influenced by Wu Tang in their artistic career.
The artist Judith Clara, born in Saarbrücken, Germany, creates works of art from a single line with her One Line Art. Until 20 December she will be exhibiting her works under the title "Strichmädchen" at the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz. The main theme in her works is the woman as a unique and fascinating creature.
Within the exhibition series " Heroes of Hamburg" the portrait photographer Walter Schels presents his works on the subject "LIFE", in which he tries to answer the question what actually constitutes a human being. This year Berlin and Beijing celebrated the 25th anniversary of their city partnership. On this occasion, the exhibition "Stories from China" took place, in which eight photographers from China and Germany presented their works, which showed different perspectives on China.
In recent years, the photos of photographer Manfred Koch have been shown at several individual exhibitions in Germany and abroad. The artistic work "Deutschland Reiseatlas 2014/2015, 1:200 000" by Miki Lin is comprised of a total of 106 DIN A3 drawings framed in white Alu Distance magnetic frames. What's interesting is the graphic process of abstraction of the river names but also the way the frames are hung. Close together, side by side and on top of each other the individual frames create a large map of Germany constructed by river names.
The new trade show format SHOW & ORDER features two photos by Berlin photographer Daniel Reiter from his latest exhibition. Framed by Halbe Rahmen the photos are perfectly integrated into the concept of the exhibitors.
A free cultural institute In Innsbruck, Austria, that calls itself "The Bakery"(Die Bäckerei), exhibits ocean pictures by photographer David Steinbacher. They are part of a series of 1200x1200mm ocean pictures aptly presented in timeless, simple Halbe frames.
