About the exhibition
With the exhibition "QUERdenker entdecken die Vielfalt" ("Out of the box thinkers discover diversity"), students of grades 9 to 12 of the Erasmus-Gymnasium Rostock present their own painting and photo exhibition in the corridor of the 11th floor of the Staatliches Amt für Landwirtschaft und Umwelt Mittleres Mecklenburg, short StALU MM, in Rostock. The exhibition has been open since 25 May. Until the middle of September, visitors have the opportunity to admire the works, as the exhibition has been extended.
Pupil groups of the years 9 to 12 of the Erasmus-Gymnasium have dealt with the topic protection of diversity in many different ways. Various teams of students have worked on the concept, design and implementation of the exhibition under the direction of teacher Emanuel Nestler. The focal point of the exhibition is the school garden project of the "Green Heroes". The pupils dealt with the diversity of life from very different perspectives. The exhibition offers picturesque, photographic and documentary insights into this diversity. Education for sustainable development (ESD) is at the heart of the exhibition. Whether through the depiction of the beauty of nature, or photographic staging.
Starting point for the exhibition were different project works of the classes 9 and 10. For the exhibition moments of the work were documented photographically.
In the photography course of the Gymnasium, the students deepen their knowledge and skills in the field of photography. The staging of thoughts, situations and the exhibition as a total work of art is essentially implemented by the photography course.
At the same time, the art course of the upper school of the Erasmus-Gymnasium contributed to the exhibition in a painterly way. Nature was depicted from different angles, for example by abstract cut-outs of the flora.
Frames in use
The works are presented in HALBE frames. Thus, the diversity of the exhibition shines in a uniform design and the works are professionally framed. Our CLASSIC magnetic frame in stainless steel with normal glass were used. The frames adapt to the picture and support its expressiveness optimally. Thanks to the practical magnetic frame principle of our picture frames, setting up the exhibition was quick and easy.
Visitors can view the exhibition in Erich-Schlesinger-Str. 35 free of charge until mid-September, on weekdays from Monday to Thursday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
