What picture frame size do I need?
The dimensions for picture frames are always the glass dimensions or the dimensions of the glass pane. If your picture has a size of 30x40 cm, is to be inserted over the entire surface and no passepartout is required, you also need a picture frame with the dimensions 30x40 cm. The following therefore applies: frame size = picture size. If you want to hang the picture with a passepartout in the picture frame, you must add the edge widths of the passe-partout. For the 30x40 cm picture, for example, we add 7.5 cm on all sides for the passepartout. The picture frame would then have to be 45x55 cm. Our frame configurator will help you with this decision when choosing a passe-partout and will give you a visually appealing suggestion.
All picture frames can be used in both portrait format (e.g. 24 x 30 cm) and landscape format (30 x 24 cm). Only with an optionally booked picture lock BS1 and Display magnetic frame the orientation must be specified.
Your format is not included?
A standard format is not possible for every image, in fact this is quite common. A standard format is usually too small or too large and the proportions simply don't fit. Particularly if the picture is to cover the entire surface of the frame, an accurately sized picture frame is essential. That is why we also offer all picture frames made to measure. From 130 x 130 mm to 1200 x 1400 mm, you can order your picture frame to the millimeter in our online store. In addition, you can also order frames up to 2 x 3 meters in size by phone or email from HALBE. For both standard formats and individual dimensions, you can also order a made-to-measurepassepartout to go with your picture frame. Simply enter the desired cut-out and the desired edge widths of the passe-partout in the configurator.
Do you need larger picture frames?
HALBE-Rahmen is one of the few frame manufacturers that produces frames up to a size of 2x3 meters. You can orderlarge picture frames up to 120x140 cm in the online store at . Please send orders for larger frames by email to info@halbe.de or call our customer service team on +49 (0) 2741 95800 with your order or inquiry. They will also be happy to advise you on the various sizes, profiles, colours and accessories.
Do you need small formats as photo frames?
The smallest frames in height and width at HALBE are 130 x 130 mm. You can photo frame with the dimensions 13x13 cm, 13x18 cm or 18x24 cm. A frame with the dimensions 10x15 cm can therefore unfortunately not be ordered, but is possible as a passepartout cut-out in a 13x18 or 18x24 photo frame. All other small versions such as 15x20 cm can be ordered in aluminum or wood in the frame configurator.
The special thing about HALBE magnetic frames
Magnetic frames from HALBE belong to the removable frame type, but can also be used permanently as a closed frame. The magnetic frame principle invented by HALBE-Rahmen, which gives the magnetic frame its name, is unique in function and design. It enables convenient changing and framing from the front. Unlike conventional picture frames, you can insert your pictures from the front: without turning and twisting, without springs and clips and completely without tools. Try it out for yourself!
