The right-angled Alu 8 profile is the classic in the HALBE range: narrow and angular, for a straightforward and timeless framing of the picture. For presentation in an aluminum frame, Alu 8 has been the bestseller since the invention of the HALBE magnetic frame. Made from the CO2-reduced recycled aluminum NEWTRAL® from Erbslöh Aluminium.
Color: Chrome
The polished aluminum profile is a HALBE classic. The shiny surface of the profile creates a contrast to the silver-matte surface.
Glass: Plexiglass glossy scratch-proof
The robust PLEXIGLAS® variation with surface finish protects acryllic glass against the general susceptibility to scratches. It is even resistant to chemicals. The glass is coated on one side and protects the picture in the frame for long-lasting glossiness.
Size: 400 x 500 mm
Among the norm formats in 4:5 ratio this is one of the most common picture frame sizes. Suitable for framings with or without passe-partout in the smaller-sized segment.

Framing and use
The HALBE Conservo was developed - together with conservators - for museums and private collections with particularly sensitive works of art that require special protection. KLUG's certified micro honeycomb cardboard meets the highest conservation standards. This is free from damaging acids, solvents and plasticizers. This makes it resistant to ageing and safe for sensitive paper works. Another feature of the HALBE Conservo is its air circulation design - in contrast to the HALBE Protect magnetic frame for a constant climate. Artglass AR 92 glass is recommended to protect the front. It protects against ageing caused by UV radiation. Artglass AR 99 Protect glass offers additional protection against mechanical damage. This 2-pane safety glass cannot shatter and protects the movement against mechanical damage. Insertion from the front is simple, fast and precise. This is made possible by magnetic opening and closing according to the unique HALBE principle.
Appearance and dimensions
The frame, which has won the Red Dot and the Special Mention of the German Design Award, can be harmoniously matched to the object and ambience. The discreet design is available as an aluminum frame or wooden picture frame made of solid wood - each in different colours - from white to natural walnut.
For perfect harmony with walls or furniture. The picture frames are also available in RAL colour from the RAL color spectrum on request. The HALBE Conservo magnetic frame is available in 40 standard formats or made to measure from 130 x 130 mm up to 1200 x 1400 mm. Larger picture frames made to measure up to 1400 x 2500 mm are available on request.
Hanging and securing
For quick and secure hanging in landscape or portrait format, the back is provided with special hanging holes for horizontal compensation with slanted nails. To protect the wall and ensure air circulation, four height-adjustable wall spacers with felt dots in the corners keep the distance. These are free from harmful plasticizers and leave no residue on the wall. If required, the dust-tight frame can be combined with the HALBE picture locks - both to secure the frame to the wall and to prevent unauthorized opening. The Conservo can be secured against unauthorized opening with the BS1 latch, which is invisible from the front.
