Profile: Wood 16
Used for small and larger frames: The Wood 16. The second of three HALBE moulding widths is always a good choice if you are looking for a top seller moulding with comfortable proportions. The slim alternative is the Wood 10, the wider model the Wood 20 or Wood 22. Our wooden frames are PEFC certified (PEFC/04-31-3815) and are made from sustainably sourced forests.
Color: White oak
White oak is an opaque finish with a slightly visible texture. The colour tone is pure and pleasantly neutral. The strip goes excellently with many nuances: namely, whenever the frame should appear neither too cold nor warm-toned.
Glass: Normal glass glossy
This glass type is a popular choice if your budget is limited and there are no special requirements in terms of colour reproduction, anti-reflection, UV or shatter protection. Normal glass is slightly green and the most basic of picture glass types.
Size: 300 x 400 mm
3:4 or 4:3 is not only a common TV format. Cameras use this ratio as well. 300 x 400 mm is greatly important for small picture frames.
Description
Framing and use
Whether at home, in the office, in a gallery or in a museum - with HALBE Distance magnetic frame , 3D objects or delicate works can be presented with an impressive depth effect without coming into contact with the glass. A glossy glass type achieves optimum sharpness. The anti-reflective Artglass glass with high (AR 92) or low (AR 70) UV protection has proven to be very effective. Insertion from the front is simple, quick and precise. This is made possible by the magnetic opening and closing according to the unique HALBE principle. The spacer strips between the rear panel and glass also adhere magnetically. This means that neither tools nor clamps are required. The standard insertion depth under the spacer strips of 0 to 2 mm can be extended to 14 mm for sculptural works of art - depending on the version.
The objects can optionally be placed on passepartout or cardboard to achieve a special effect. Only FSC®-certified material (FSC® C206955) from controlled forestry is used for our passe-partouts and cardboard. This also applies to the white paper cover layers of the hard foam board/back panel.
Appearance and dimensions
The 3D picture frame, which has won the Red Dot Design Award, can be harmoniously matched to the object and ambience. The spacer strips are available as required - in silver or lacquered to match the cardboard color.
You can choose between 10 or 20 millimetres as the distance dimension. The picture frame has holes and felt dots for time-saving and clean hanging. The HALBE Distance magnetic frame is available in 35 standard formats or made to measure from 130 x 130 mm to 1200 x 1400 mm. Larger picture frames made to measure up to 1400 x 2500 mm are available on request.
Hanging and securing
For quick and secure hanging in landscape or portrait format, the back is provided with hanging holes. To protect the wall and ensure air circulation, four felt points in the corners keep the distance. If desired, the dustproof frame can be combined with the HALBE picture locks - both to secure the frame to the wall and to prevent unauthorized opening.
