PICTURE FRAMES & WOOD. THE CLASSIC COMBINATION UNITES TRADITION AND SUSTAINABILITY
Wood is one of the oldest building materials and still enjoys great popularity. For centuries, wood has also been the classic material for picture frame production. Even the great masters were framed in original wooden frames. The sustainable raw material has a special significance in today's world due to climate change. Because even though wood is a natural, ecological raw material, sustainable management is particularly important. For this reason, we source wood for picture frames only from sustainable cultivation. This has a long tradition, especially for our production site in Kirchen near Siegen (Germany). Furthermore, a high quality of the wooden picture frames is important to you as well as to us.
However, high-quality and knot-free logs, especially varieties such as walnut, are rare and valuable. To ensure this high quality, the core of our wooden picture frames is made of alder solid wood and the top layer is made of real wood veneer. This way you get the most out of your real wood picture frames - to the best price possible. From one cubic metre of wood we can produce about 10,000 metres of strips of real wood veneer. For solid wood mouldings it would only be enough for a few hundred metres. Picture frames made of real wood are available with all frames from HALBE, the ash slats are made of solid wood slats and all other frames made of wood are veneered with high-quality noble wood veneer.
