Schott Mirogard® is a premium white glass which ensures authentic presentation of works of art. Thanks to its anti-reflective properties it is virtually invisible when the light source is indirect. Both Schott Mirogard® Plus and Schott Mirogard® Protect are suitable for conservational hangings due to their level of UV protection.
Appearance:
Schott Mirogard® offers excellent colour reproduction, contour sharpness and contrast, reducing reflections to below 1%.
Composition:
The reflection-reducing surface is applied using a dip coating process and then fired. The glass stays smooth – in contrast to rougher matt glass panes.
Note:
Avoid hanging opposite windows or in direct light for the best possible presentation. In spite of strong antireflective properties, some reflections with a faint green tint may still be visible.
Cleaning:
Schott Mirogard® should be cleaned with water or a glass cleaner (we recommend Cif Professional). Cleaning streaks are liable to be more immediately visible in comparison to other types of glass. Mix one measure of spirit to ten parts water in order to remove any streaks.
Types:
Schott Mirogard® (M) The 3 millimetre thick museum glass has excellent anti-reflective properties, genuine colour reproduction and extremely good contour sharpness and contrast.
Schott Mirogard® Plus (Mplus) with UV protection This museum glass is only 3 millimetres thick and has superb anti-reflective properties, unadulterated colour reproduction and 82 per cent UV production. It is ideal for conservational framings.
Schott Mirogard® Protect (Mprotect – VSG) with UV protection This shatterproof laminated glass is merely 4.4 millimetres thick and consists of two panes with an elastic, tearproof film between them. This prevents the glass shattering into tiny pieces if the pane should break. Large fragments remain in the frame, sticking flush to the film. This also protects the artwork. Artworks benefit from long-lasting colour representation thanks to a high level of UV protection, at least 99 per cent.

Gut Entspiegelung, Farbwidergabe leider nicht mein Fall
Ich habe das Mirogard Plus Glas auf einem mittelgroßen Rahmen.
Die Entspiegelung funktioniert sehr gut.
Betrachtet man das Glas seitlich gegen das Licht fällt ein Lila-Schimmer auf wie man ihn von z.B. Klimakomfort-Verglasungen am Kfz kennt.
Im Vergleich mit Weißglas ist die Entspiegelung hervorragend. Leider leider für mein Empfinden die Farbwiedergabe etwas. Weiß-Töne sind unter Weißglas Weißer und reiner als unter dem Mirogard+.
Ich empfinde einen leichten Blau-/Grünstich.
Vielleicht liegt es auch an dem Plus, also dem UV Schutz.
Da man die Produkte nicht umtauschen kann werde ich wohl damit leben müssen...
Ich denke man sollte das Mirogard+ nur dann wählen, wenn man den UV-Schutz für unabdingbar hält.

Habe das Mirograd plus, entspiegelt, für ein Gemälde bestellt. Dies ist allerdings nicht zu empfehlen da es stark spiegelt. Vielleicht ist es etwas besser als normales Glas, allerdings ist es nicht dem Preis wert.

Das entspiegelte Glas ist im Unterschied zum Stadardglas ein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht, gerade in Fensternähe.

Ich habe viele…
Ich habe viele Pastellbilder ,dass Schott mirogard plus hat einen UV Filter dieser sorgt dafür dass, das Licht die Farben nicht ausbleicht. Bei normalen Glas bleicht die Farbe aus und sie wird
hell . Ich habe jetzt ein Bild 8 Jahre hängen und es sieht noch aus wie am 1 Tag. Die Farben sehen gut aus. Bei normalen Glas sieht nur noch das Bild hinter dem Rahmen gut aus wie am 1 Tag das Bild im Glas sieht heller aus " gebraucht gekauft

Beim Museumsglas hatte ich mir erwartet, dass es nicht spiegelt. Es spiegelt aber auch, nur nicht ganz so stark. Davon bin ich enttäuscht.
