Frames as a calendar
The frames from HALBE are characterised by their particularly quick and easy framing from the front. The artist Anton Leitner has asked himself which occasions there are for frequent changes during the year. Because apart from exhibitions, pictures are rarely changed in the private sphere. This is how his calendar project 2022 came about
His idea was to convert a picture frame into a calendar. Every month the frame should be filled with another calendar page and later be used as a work of art by covering the calendar. This calendar was produced from the photograph to the exposure on the analog way. Only the printing of the calendar had to be done digitally.
Magnetic frames used: Classic magnetic frame in the format 27 x 27 cm in the versions wood 10 maple natural, wood 10 oak black, wood 10 walnut natural.
Furthermore, it required two passepartouts. For the production of the calendar pages he uses one with two cutouts - for the image and the calendar.
After the end of the month, another passepartout was used with a single cut-out of the picture in the colours black or old white.
The picture frames used thus give each month that little extra. With the calendar covered, the frames, together with the passepartout emphasize the beauty of the individual motifs. In this way, the greatest possible flexibility of the picture frames could be used.
