ALPENFLORA at Hotel Ameron Neuschwanstein

The ALPENFLORA series by Cordula Flegel (www.cordulaflegel.de) is presented in 89 newly built rooms at the Hotel Ameron Neuschwanstein near Lake Alpsee. The photojournalist from Upper Bavaria mainly photographs reportages, often focusing on the plants and cultural landscapes of the Alps.

In each room hangs a pair of pictures showing the same plant. In this way she always creates double pages in an imaginary book about alpine plants. They are all shown in their own natural environment, in very different biotopes. There is no categorisation - whether it is an ordinary or a rare plant is not recognisable to laymen. Thus, each individual plant has a special effect on its own.

The pictures find their place on the covered, dark walls of the modern and tastefully furnished hotel rooms. They are framed in HALBE picture frames of light Maple Nature 10 with anti-reflective Mirogard glass. Together with the white passe-partout edge, a strong contrast to the dark wall is created, which lets the colours of the Alpine plants glow.
