Picture frame perfectly level
Everyone knows the feeling: You want to hang pictures perfectly level, but despite using a drill, a good eye, and a spirit level, the wall plugs and picture hooks often aren't at exactly the same height. The result: a crooked frame and the need for adjustments. The new HALBE Levelfix promises a solution. With this innovative hanger, misalignments of up to 3 mm can be corrected incrementally by simply turning it left or right, without any new drilling.
Let's first focus on the most common arrangements of picture frames and how Levelfix helps:
Horizontal hanging:
Images are aligned along an imaginary horizontal line. This method is particularly suitable for works of the same size. For different formats, the frames should be aligned at the bottom edge or the center of the image. Using the Levelfix, horizontal frames can be precisely aligned in height and spacing, which is especially advantageous in this arrangement.
Block hanging:
Several picture frames, often square and of the same size, are arranged in a rectangular or square block. This creates a calm and orderly overall appearance. The Levelfix system significantly simplifies horizontal alignment, ensuring correct heights relative to each other, and maintaining precise spacing between the frames, resulting in a harmonious overall look.
Vertical hanging:
Here, the pictures are arranged in a vertical row. This visually elongates the room and is well-suited for narrow walls or emphasizing vertical lines in a room. The Levelfix system allows not only for fine-tuning the spacing but also for sliding the pictures onto a precise vertical line.
The traditional approach: Precision is everything
To hang two picture frames side by side, the following steps are necessary:
1. Measure the holes: The distance between the suspension points on the frame is measured precisely.
2. Calculate dimensions: The desired distance between the frames is added to determine the total distance between the drill holes.
3. Marking: The calculated points are precisely marked on the wall using a spirit level, ideally with a laser.
4. Drilling: The holes are drilled and the dowels are inserted.
This process requires utmost care, as even the slightest deviations can lead to a crooked result. The HALBE Levelfix offers an innovative solution that simplifies the precise hanging of pictures and eliminates the need for rework.
5. Mounting Levelfix to the wall: After drilling, screw Levelfix to the wall using the included screw. Initially, tighten the screw only enough so that the hanger can still be turned by hand.
6. Align the Levelfix: In the starting position, the small picture symbol on the front of the hanger should be facing upwards. Now, check with a spirit level. If the two Levelfix are not aligned correctly, adjust accordingly. For larger formats, use a longer spirit level.
Turning to the right: Raises the frame by up to 1.5 mm. Turning to the left: Lowers the frame by up to 1.5 mm.
7. Hanging the frame: Once the perfect alignment has been found, the screw of the Levelfix is tightened by hand and the frame can finally be hung.

Here's how to use Levelfix optimally:
For horizontal adjustment:
Rotate the two Levelfix hangers in opposite directions. Turning one to the left and the other to the right (or vice versa) will shift the frame laterally until it hangs perfectly level.
For altitude adjustment:
Rotate both Levelfix hangers in the same direction. A simultaneous rotation to the right raises the frame, a simultaneous rotation to the left lowers it. This allows you to adjust the image height with millimeter precision.
