SELECTED WORKS: LUMIX FESTIVAL 2020

In cooperation with the LUMIX Festival for Young Photojournalism, f³ ("Freiraum für Fotografie") shows the exhibition SELECTED WORKS, which includes series of committed photojournalists who address current political, ecological, cultural and social processes in their work. The series deal with freedom struggles, discrimination, stereotypes, abuse and much more. They demand attention and an eye for detail from the viewer. The photographers use their projects as a mouthpiece to engage in current social debates.

In 2020, the f³ - freiraum für fotografie Award was presented for the first time during the LUMIX FESTIVAL. It went to Shirin Abedi with her series May I Have This Dance, which provides insights into the struggle for emancipation of young female ballet dancers in Iran.

The photo projects are displayed in our HALBE Classic magnetic frames Wood 20, Oak black and Wood 16, Maple white with white glass. The picture frames are exactly adapted to the works and optimally emphasize their effect. Gisela Kayser and Katharina Mouratidi curated the exhibition. You can visit it in Berlin until September 27th.
