A picture frame as a Christmas gift

The German Design Council - who also present the German Design Award - gave away HALBE picture frames to their employees for Christmas. Framed in them were portrait pictures of the respective employee or, as seen here, a real classic: a greeting card from Vitra with a motif by Alexander Girard. The German Design Council not only presents its awards in the magnetic frames, its employees also enjoy them.

HALBE Frames and packaging

The beautiful greeting cards were framed in a Classic magnetic frame in Wood 10 in black oak with a normal glass matt/glossy. The passepartout in colour old white has a thickness of 1.5 mm. The neutral white packaging is generally available for larger quantities at HALBE.

German Design Council

Founded over 60 years ago, initiated by the German Bundestag and endowed by German industry, this body stands for German design culture and quality. More than 260 companies belong to its circle of founders. Design prizes such as the Germand Design Award or German Brand Award honour companies and products for special achievements, brand management and product design.

Alexander Girard and Vitra

The designer Alexander Girard is one of the most influential people in post-war American design. His work focused on textile design, but also on furniture, graphic, exhibition and interior design. For the Greeting Cards by Vitra, together with the Girard family, a number of motifs were selected that are suitable for different purposes and occasions.
