About the exhibition at the NBB Gallery Berlin

On 12 August 2023, Klaus Sahm presented an extraordinary combination of music and photography at the NBB Gallery in Berlin. This exhibition is more than just a presentation of his latest solo piano EP "Cycles"; it is a deeply emotional and personal dedication to his younger brother André, who passed away unexpectedly in 2022.

The music captures the emotional journey from shock to deep grief to gradual acceptance. The photographs Sahm presents in the exhibition document places and moments he has experienced together with his brother on their numerous journeys around the world. The artworks were exhibited in picture frames by HALBE and create an impressive thematic link between photography and music.

He also got to know the singer-songwriter Max Giesinger, whom he has accompanied at concerts ever since. In 2014, Sahm played keyboard and piano for Madeline Juno's debut album "The Unknown".

In addition to his career as a musician, Sahm also shows his talent as a photographer and director, including designing music videos and album covers. Since 2019, he has increasingly worked as a songwriter and producer and signed a long-term exclusive author contract with Peermusic Germany in 2020. In the same year, he began publishing his own compositions in order to create an artistic connection between his photography and musical influences.

HALBE picture frames in action

The photographs presented in the exhibition are elegantly framed in HALBE frames. The artist opted for Classic Wood 16 frames in black oak, combined with Artglass AR 70. These carefully selected frames emphasise the uniqueness of the photographs and make them stand out.

The exhibition, which is definitely worth seeing, combines photography and music and reflects Sahm's deep bond with his brother. It offers visitors a unique insight into his emotional world after the loss, showcasing both his musical and photographic talents.
