About the exhibition

"Nonplusultra - Research Photography" deals with what is foreign to us humans, which today increasingly appears in the form of technological research apparatus and objects.

As a kind of photographic field researcher, photographer Janosch Boerckel went into the laboratories of the natural and human sciences, where these apparatuses and objects are designed, produced and their performance examined. His photographic curiosity thus led him straight to the basic research that changes the world of things and thus also the world of people in a fundamental way.
