German Design Award Winner 2018
For the second time in a row HALBE wins the design award "German Design Award 2018". On 09 February 2018, the winners of the German Design Awards 2018 were honoured at a festive awards ceremony in the Forum of Messe Frankfurt. Over 1,300 international invited guests from business, politics and the media were in attendance.
Among the winners of the evening was HALBE-frames. This year, the manufacturer of high-quality picture frames was not honored for one of its multiple award-winning products, but was included in the list of the best in the category "Excellent Communications Design Editorial" with the German Design Award for its "Portrait". While the picture frames from HALBE are recognized worldwide as a premium product, the people at HALBE in Kirchen are all the more pleased about this award in the field of communications design:
The HALBE catalogue entitled "Portrait No. 01" presents not only the products from HALBE but also the company and provides insights into the business. The combination of clear design, a lot of white space and the ratio of image to text, reflects the company's philosophy of putting the image at the centre. This allows the reader to experience the brand and immerse themselves in the world of HALBE magnetic frames.
The jury statement of the German Design Awards 2018 says: "The pleasantly clear and reduced design cleverly directs the reader's attention to the image, subtly integrating the philosophy of HALBE RAHMEN into the design." - German Design Award

The German Design Award honours products, projects and their manufacturers and designers that are groundbreaking for the design landscape. This is guaranteed by the top-class jury. After the design award "German Design Award 2016" for the Alu 4 magnetic frame, as well as the German Brand Award 2016 and 2017 for the online shop and brand, HALBE was awarded and honoured this year for its editorial design. The winner certificate was presented in style in a Classic magnetic frame (Alu 12 black).
