Delivery information
HALBE Shipping: Small items via parcel service, large items via freight forwarder
We’ve all been there: you order something online, and when the parcel arrives, you’re not at home or have just missed the delivery driver. Please help us ensure you receive your parcel quickly and safely. You can find the delivery charges at www.halbe-rahmen.de/en/payment-and-dispatch. On this page, we also provide additional information regarding the delivery of your goods after dispatch and about express delivery services which you can book after receiving your order confirmation for deliveries within Germany (excluding islands) to reduce the delivery time. The delivery time stated below for the respective transport provider is included in the delivery time specified for the respective product.
We select the appropriate transport provider for your order based on the goods ordered and the delivery address.
Unless a different timeframe is specified in the relevant offer, goods will be delivered within 6–8 days in Germany and within 8–10 days for international deliveries following the conclusion of the contract (or, if advance payment has been agreed, following receipt of your payment instructions). Please note that no deliveries are made on Sundays or public holidays. If you have ordered items with different delivery times, we will dispatch the goods in a single consignment, unless we have made alternative arrangements with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item with the longest delivery time that you have ordered.
Deliveries by parcel service: Germany and other European countries
Our parcel deliveries with GLS and DPD are carbon-neutral. Minimal packaging volume and custom-made shipping boxes reduce transport volume and the use of packaging and cushioning materials. The cardboard boxes we use are made from recycled paper, and we produce the filling material ourselves.

Delivery takes place one to two days after the dispatch date. If you would like guaranteed delivery of your parcel on the next working day (Mon–Fri), you can book the “Garantie24” overnight service with HALBE for an additional charge once you have received your order confirmation (see below).
Depending on the shipment status, you can still manage the delivery of your parcel online even after it has been dispatched. The GLS FlexDeliveryService offers the following options for your parcel via the GLS website after dispatch:
- Select your preferred delivery date (up to 6 days from shipping date)
- Change the delivery address (Options are shown in the tracking link)
- Delivery to a Parcel Shop or GLS Depot of your choice (Shop search)
- Granting a leave-behind authorisation (parcel-related and permanent possible)
- Use GLS App (view info)
- Evening/Saturday delivery via tracking link (only in selected postcode areas. Areas where this service is not available will not be offered as an option)
If you do not choose any of these options, a delivery attempt will be made at your delivery address. If the driver does not find you there, they will leave a notification card in your letterbox with information on whether the parcel can be collected from a neighbour or at the nearest GLS Parcel Shop.
In addition to standard delivery via the GLS parcel service, you can optionally book the following services through HALBE Customer Service at an additional cost:
GLS Garantie24 = € 7.90 incl. VAT (€ 6.64 excl. VAT):
guaranteed delivery on the working day following the dispatch date during the course of the day (within Germany, excluding islands, Mon–Fri)
GLS Scheduled Delivery: same as GLS Garantie24, plus guaranteed delivery before 10 am or 12 noon = on request, depending on the goods you have ordered.

Delivery within Germany takes place one to two days after the date of dispatch. If you would like guaranteed delivery of your parcel on the next working day (Mon–Fri), you can book the ‘DPD Express’ overnight service with HALBE for an additional charge once you have received your order confirmation (see below).
Depending on the shipment status, you can still manage the delivery of your parcel online even after it has been dispatched. DPD Tracking offers the following options for your parcel after dispatch:
- Select your preferred delivery date (options are shown in the tracking link)
- Change delivery address (options are shown in the tracking link)
- Delivery to a DPD Parcel Shop of your choice (Shop search)
- Give permission for delivery to a designated spot (parcel-related and permanent possible)
- Use the DPD app (view info)
- DPD Predict and Live Tracking (details on real-time tracking)
If you do not choose any of these options, the courier will attempt to deliver the parcel to your delivery address. If the driver does not find you there, they will leave a parcel information card in your letterbox. By scanning the QR code or entering the parcel number, you can find out where the parcel is currently located and what options are available for redirecting or collecting it.
In addition to standard delivery via the DPD parcel service, you can optionally book the following services within Germany through HALBE Customer Service for an additional charge:
DPD Express = € 7.90 inkl. VAT (€ 6.64 plus VAT):
Guaranteed delivery one day after the shipping date during the course of the day (in German excluding islands, Mon-Fri).
DPD time-of-day-delivery: same as DPD Express, plus a guarantee of delivery before 8.30 am, 10 am or 12 noon = on request, depending on the goods you have ordered and the delivery area.
Deliveries via freight forwarder: Germany and other European countries
![]()
For larger quantities or items measuring 700 x 900 mm or more, we will dispatch your goods via the freight forwarder Cargoline due to their size and weight. Delivery within Germany takes one to three days from the date of dispatch; for international deliveries, the transit time varies depending on the country and is usually three to five days.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BE AWARE OF WHEN DELIVERING VIA A FREIGHT FORWARDER?
WHEN WILL DELIVERY TAKE PLACE?
Delivery within Germany takes place one to three days after the dispatch date; internationally, the delivery time varies depending on the country and is usually three to five days. Delivery can take place from Monday to Friday between approximately 08:00 and 17:00 – Saturday delivery is not available.
HOW DOES DELIVERY WORK?
As soon as your parcel is ready for dispatch, we will send you a dispatch notification including a tracking link. This link will be activated within 24 hours, allowing you to track your parcel.
PLEASE NOTE: Unlike with parcel services, you cannot authorise a drop-off or select a preferred delivery date for freight forwarder deliveries. There is also no automatic prior notification by telephone for deliveries via freight forwarders!
If you wish to arrange the delivery of your shipment with the freight forwarder, i.e. to agree on a specific day and a time slot (min. 4 hours), please inform your HALBE contact person of this when placing your order or afterwards, or contact us generally at info@halbe.de or tel.: 02741-95800. To arrange notification, in addition to your email address, we require a telephone number, which we will pass on to the delivery service provider so that arrangements can be made by telephone, text message or email.
WHAT DOES “KERBSIDE DELIVERY” MEAN?
Shipments via a freight forwarder are usually large and heavy and are delivered “kerbside”. Depending on local conditions, the goods will therefore be unloaded and left for you at the roadside or on the pavement. Often, it is also possible to unload right up to the front door, into a garage or similar, but this is at the driver’s discretion and can only be decided on a case-by-case basis on site. Carrying parcels or pallets into a building, unpacking the goods and/or disposing of the packaging are not included in the standard services provided by the freight forwarder. This convenience service can be booked as an add-on by arrangement and for an additional charge. Please contact your HALBE contact person for this.
DELIVERY WAS NOT POSSIBLE?
Please ensure that the goods can be received on the (agreed) delivery date. Furthermore, the specified delivery address must be accessible by lorry; should there be any restrictions (e.g. pedestrian zone), please contact your HALBE contact person in good time. If the goods cannot be delivered, additional costs will always be incurred for a further delivery, which may be charged to you subsequently.
TRANSPORT DAMAGE?
We always do our very best to pack your order securely and sturdily – however, it is not possible to prevent damage during transport entirely. It is therefore important that you check the following when you receive your parcel:
- Is the parcel in perfect condition on the outside?
- Can you hear any shattering sounds? Broken glass? (hidden transport damage)
- Is the number of packages correct?
If you notice any damage:
1. Note the damage on the consignment note and have the driver confirm this.
2. If the entire delivery is damaged, please refuse to accept it.
3. If only part of the shipment is damaged, please accept the shipment despite the damage.
4. Contact your HALBE representative to arrange the next steps regarding the claims process and replacement delivery
In addition to standard delivery, you can optionally book the following services through HALBE Customer Service within Germany for an additional charge:
Cargoline Nightline NextDay € 19.90 incl. VAT (€ 16.72 plus VAT):
Delivery usually one working day after dispatch (Monday to Friday, during the day)
Further express options and costs on request, depending on the goods you have ordered and the country/delivery address. Please feel free to contact HALBE customer service to discuss the options.
Self-Collection
![]()
Your goods will be made available for collection at our factory. As soon as the goods are ready, you will receive a collection notification by email. Collection is possible during our business hours, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4.30 pm.
Please note: The goods will be carefully packed in standard warehouse packaging. If you would like to collect bundled palletised goods via a freight forwarder, please let us know when placing your order.
Your HALBE contact will be happy to calculate any packaging costs and answer your questions regarding logistics.

Delivery to the United Kingdom may take longer. Shipments are often not delivered until approximately 2 weeks after our shipping date. A minimum order value of €180 applies to orders shipped to the United Kingdom. We are unable to process orders below this amount.
For orders placed by companies, an EORI number is mandatory. Without it, shipment by freight forwarder is not possible.
For frames larger than 1200 × 1400 mm, please send us an inquiry by email at info@halbe.de. We will then provide you with a quotation including shipping costs.
Shipments to the United Kingdom are generally made under the Incoterm DAP – Delivered at Place. This means that HALBE-Rahmen bears all costs and risks of transport up to the agreed destination, i.e. your delivery address. Import customs clearance and all resulting costs, such as customs duties, taxes and fees, are borne by you as the buyer. Regardless of the shipping service provider, whether DPD or a freight forwarder, you will be contacted before delivery and asked to pay the import customs clearance fees as well as the 20% import VAT. If this payment is not made, the shipment will not be delivered.
Freight Forwarding:
-
• 20% import VAT on the invoice amount
-
• Handling costs approx. GBP 15
-
• Import customs declaration approx. GBP 50
-
• GB ENS declaration approx. GBP 9.50 – The GB ENS declaration is an electronic safety and security declaration, also known as an Entry Summary Declaration (ENS). It is prepared by the carrier, i.e. the freight forwarder, and is used for risk assessment before the goods arrive.
DPD Parcel Service:
-
• 20% import VAT on the invoice amount
-
• Import processing/fees approx. GBP 20, purely an estimate, no official statement from DPD
We require the following information in advance
-
• Do you have an EORI number?
The EORI number stands for Economic Operators’ Registration and Identification. It is a standardized identification number used throughout the EU for companies and individuals involved in customs procedures. For the movement of goods between the United Kingdom and other countries, including the EU, a UK EORI number beginning with “GB” is mandatory. Private individuals are exempt. The number is applied for online via GOV.UK. It is required for customs declarations in order to avoid delays. In many cases, a UK VAT registration number is a prerequisite.
-
• Do you have your own customs broker who handles import clearance in the United Kingdom?
If you have your own customs broker, please send us their complete contact details. We will forward these details to our freight forwarder and provide your customs broker with the required documents, such as the invoice and export accompanying document. If you are unable to handle customs clearance yourself and do not have your own customs broker, the freight forwarder will ask you for a Power of Attorney (POA). This is a written authorization that empowers a person or company to act on your behalf, for example for customs purposes. Direct representation is required for customs clearance procedures. This is often necessary because the United Kingdom is no longer part of the EU and customs formalities are therefore required.
