Call for applications: HALBE talent promotion

Promoting European art education institutions with CLASSIC magnetic frames

Kirchen, April 25, 2024 - Every year, many young people enrol at European colleges, universities and art academies to learn the tools of a painter, graphic artist, photographer or art teacher. The young talents are familiarized with the various means of artistic expression. The presentation of their pictures is part of the training. A work on paper only unfolds its full effect in a suitable frame. The young artist Nils Dunkel learned to appreciate the advantages of the CLASSIC magnetic frame from HALBE during his final presentation at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. The promotion of young artists is a central concern of HALBE-Rahmen (www.halbe-rahmen.de). Every year, the manufactory will provide four interested European educational institutions with individually produced CLASSIC magnetic frames on permanent loan with a total value of 10,000 euros.

Development of your own artistic position

Whether watercolors, graphics or photography - pictures often have a greater impact on the viewer when they are presented in a frame. The picture frame acts as a "stage" for the artwork and significantly shapes its expression and radiance. Framing pictures with or without a passepartout is often an art in itself and can sometimes be very time-consuming - but it doesn't have to be. HALBE's magnetic frame principle enables precise positioning of the picture from the front - without tools or other aids. Renowned artists, galleries and museums appreciate the quality and easy handling of the custom-made frames.

Nils Dunkel presented his final thesis in CLASSIC magnetic frames

Nils Dunkel, who was born in Austria in 1990, began his career as a self-taught designer. In his early 20s, he was already designing magazines and his first book, and his unusual designs caused a stir in the fashion world. But he wanted to learn more about art. Nils Dunkel has been studying at the Düsseldorf Art Academy since 2018. His interest in using classic materials and techniques in unconventional ways accompanied him throughout his studies. For his final project, he explored the 55 chapters of the novel "Snow in Spring" by Japanese author Yukio Mishima. Nils Dunkel framed the unique works of art in CLASSIC magnetic frames and presented them under the title "55 chapters".

Young talents deserve high-quality frames

In order to support the artistic development and presentation of works by young talents at European universities, schools, art academies and art teaching departments, HALBE-Rahmen will in future provide four institutions each year with CLASSIC magnetic frames worth 2,500 euros each. HALBE will provide the frames on permanent loan to the respective teaching institution without any obligation. The profile, color and size of the frames can be determined individually. The specialists at HALBE recommend standard glass with a matt or glossy finish on one side.

"With this exclusive offer, we want to give the registered pupils and students of the respective institution the opportunity to emphasize the aesthetic impact of their works," says David Halbe, Managing Director of HALBE-Rahmen GmbH. But that's not all - in addition, the young artists of the respective educational institutions will receive a 10% special discount on every CLASSIC and DISTANCE magnetic frame order as well as passepartouts and background boards.

If you are interested in the free magnetic frame offer, the relevant universities, colleges and art academies are requested to contact HALBE-Rahmen on +49 (0)2741 / 95 800 or info@halbe.de.

On the occasion of the final presentation of the graduates of the Düsseldorf Art Academy, art lovers were able to visit the exhibition 55 chapters of the novel "Snow in Spring" by Nils Dunkel.

Nils Dunkel's final work 55 chapters from the novel "Snow in Spring" presented a fascinating combination of in-house inkjet prints on photographic paper, black ink and a color filter film.

The unique artworks from Nils Dunkel's exhibition 55 chapters from the novel "Snow in Spring" were framed in 60 x 43 cm CLASSIC magnetic frames - aluminum 8 chrome.

"With this offer, we want to give enrolled pupils and students of the respective institution the opportunity to emphasize the aesthetic impact of their works, just like the up-and-coming talent Nils Dunkel," says David Halbe.
