Alu 7 picture frame profile impresses international jury
HALBE is honored with the German Design Award 2024
Kirchen, Feb. 19, 2024 - Several thousand design and project developments from 55 countries were submitted for the German Design Award 2024. HALBE-Rahmen (www.halbe-rahmen.de) wins in the category "Excellent Product Design - Home Textiles and Home Accessories" with the filigree Alu 7 picture frame profile and is awarded the "Special Mention" prize for its remarkable design achievement. On January 26, 2024, the award winners were honored at the festive award show at the Frankfurt Congress Center. Over 1,600 invited guests from the international design scene as well as business, culture and the press were present when David Halbe received the coveted international design award.
German Design Award 2024 - submissions from 55 countries
Since it was founded in 1953, one of the central tasks of the German Design Council Foundation has been to observe, analyze and evaluate the international design scene. The German Design Award is presented annually and is one of the most recognized design prizes worldwide. It honors innovative products and projects as well as their manufacturers and designers that are trend-setting in the German and international design landscape.
Several thousand product and design developments from 55 countries were submitted for this year's German Design Award. The high-caliber international jury, made up of renowned design experts from business, science and the design industry, had their hands full selecting the winners in the three main categories "Excellent Product Design", "Excellent Communications Design" and "Excellent Architecture".
Alu 7 picture frame profile - lightness meets timeless design language
Leaving old traditions behind and rethinking design - HALBE-Rahmen consistently follows this principle of the legendary Bauhaus school in the development of new magnetic frame profiles. Sober, straightforward, reduced - these are classic attributes that the Alu 7 profile from HALBE combines. Narrow, flat and discreet, the aluminum strip comes around the corner and ensures timeless framing of works of art.
The jury, made up of twelve nations, was impressed by the lightness and timeless design language of the Alu 7 profile from HALBE. The specially developed magnetic frame construction allows the filigree profile to be used for different types of frames - from small photo frames with a stand up to a size of 70 x 100 cm. When manufacturing the profile, HALBE consistently ensures that only low-CO2-emission aluminum is used. The custom-made Alu 7 magnetic frames are available in black, white and matt silver.

The winners of the German Design Award 2024 were honored at a festive award show on January 26, 2024 - the opening day of the Ambiente trade fair - in Frankfurt. David Halbe and Jens Spornhauer (Product Manager) accepted the "Special Mention" award in the "Excellent Product Design" category for the development of the elegant Alu 7 profile.
