Wood is the most traditional material for picture framing. With a width of only 13 mm, the Wood 10 model is highly popular for picture display in a natural and subtle frame. Wood makes every frame unique.
Color: Ash nature
Ash is one of the classic wooden materials used for interior design. The frame keeps its shade and is merely protected by a transparent raw wood effect lacquer. Ash nature is brighter than oak and more intense than maple. This type is suitable for nature photography or bold-coloured graphics and looks great with many different wall colours.
Glass: Normal glass glossy
This glass type is a popular choice if your budget is limited and there are no special requirements in terms of colour reproduction, anti-reflection, UV or shatter protection. Normal glass is slightly green and the most basic of picture glass types.
Size: 210 x 210 mm
The 21 x 21 cm square is highly popular. It corresponds to a DIN A 4 format (210 x 297 mm), cut to a square.

Since the invention of the magnetic frame principle, HALBE picture frames have been available in timeless and award-winning designs – as a wood variety for 25 years. This year, we are celebrating our wooden frame anniversary with a very special edition: A solid wood ash edition in reminiscence of the beginnings of the HALBE wooden frame. This powerful wood type is available in a light natural tone or in black or white.
Alternatively to our wooden frames covered with precious wood veneer, ash is a native wood type with excellent characteristics suitable for picture frames. The material has a high tensile and bending strength and is therefore ideal for the narrow wood 10 frame of the Ash edition.
NATURE, BLACK OR WHITE
During the product development, we were particularly excited about the natural-coloured design: the white-yellow to yellowish wood has a characteristic grain and makes every frame absolutely unique. Due to its natural appearance, the frame adjusts to a wide range of pictures and is eye-catching as well as discreet in the picture surroundings.
For those who like it neither bright nor wood coloured: the Ash edition in black or white is perfect for classic and clear picture framing – traditional as well as modern. The pure white tone has no yellow tint. The white Ash edition is therefore substantially different from the warm white maple-toned frame from the HALBE standard assortment – the pure white ash tone is ideally suited for works on bright white paper.
The black ash is very similar to blackened oak and comes with a deep black matt surface. The solid wood makes the frame appear warmer than a black aluminium profile and is the clearest and hardest border between picture and picture environment.
