FLAG MOUNTED FREELY
Mounting a flag in a DISTANCE frame
Whether it's for soccer, or as in our case for our local sport shooting club: Flags can have a great personal value. In our HALBE Distance - magnetic frame, not only pictures can be framed, but also flat three-dimensional objects: including flags. In the following article, we will show you by means of an example how you can easily mount and then frame your flag with the help of special magnets. A big advantage: no pins or glue are used, which will damage your flag.
Tool:
- Steel ruler
- Pencil
Here's how it works:
1. Prepare
Have all the utensils required for assembly ready. A suitable metal strip can be obtained from our customer service. Alternatively, suppliers of neodymium magnets also offer adhesive bases to stick on or you can use our jersey frame.
2. Measuring
Carefully open the DISTANCE frame. Also remove the glass and spacer bars. Then place the flag flat in the center of the base element. We recommend a wide circumferential distance for objects with uneven edges so that different edge widths are not noticeable.
Accessories:
- Neschen Gudy Dot 831
- Neodymium magnets
- Sheet metal strips

Optional utensils:
- Gloves
- Hand brush
3. Fastening the background cardboard
To attach the background board, apply a strip of Neschen Gudy 381 double-sided tape to the top edge of the inner part. Remove the protective film and press the background cardboard on.
6. Attach magnets
After the metal strip is glued, it is time to attach the flag using the magnets. To do this, place the flag on the top edge of the metal strip and attach the magnets at the same level as the metal strip. To achieve a neat overall result, keep the distance between the magnets the same.
5. Tape the sheet metal strip
Apply the Neschen Gudy 381 double-sided adhesive tape to the marked position. Pull off the protective film and carefully press the sheet metal strip into place.
4. Marking
Now it's time to attach the sheet metal strip. To do this, first mark the desired adhesive position. It is important to attach the metal strip as far up as possible to prevent the flag from folding over. At the same time, however, make sure that the metal strip is covered by the flag. The distance to the sides should be the same. After you have found the desired position for the sheet metal strip, carefully mark it with a pencil.
8. Ready!
The flag is fully assembled! Now all you have to do is find a suitable location. Places where there is a lot of life are especially suitable, because this way their flag is guaranteed to be seen! This mounting method is ideal for fabric objects, such as flags or jerseys, because the objects are not damaged by glue.
7. Framing
Last but not least, the frame only needs to be assembled. To do this, first install the spacer bars and then place the glass on the bars. Finally, you place the overframe on the element and press it lightly. Thanks to our magnetic frame system, the frame closes quickly and easily.
Tip:
Before assembling the frame, make sure that the flag is held securely. In the case of very smooth fabrics, you may need to provide anti-slip protection in the form of a piece of rough paper glued to the metal strip. This must not be too thick so that you do not lose magnetic force.
