Framing and use

For the requirements of conservators and museums with particularly sensitive and delicate, slightly three-dimensional works of art, the properties of two proven HALBE frame variants have been combined and optimized: the result is the Conservo-Distance magnetic frame.

The Conservo magnetic frame already meets the highest conservation requirements. The CONSERVO-DISTANCE goes one step further and is generally supplied with magnetically removable spacers under the glass. In addition, the base element behind the inserted micro honeycomb cardboard from KLUG is not open like the Conservo magnetic frame, but is completely closed with an anodized aluminium sheet - for optimum flatness, a high degree of stability and optional extra insertion depth.

In the standard version, the CONSERVO-DISTANCE is supplied with a micro honeycomb board from KLUG under the magnetic spacer strips. The insertion depth under the spacer strips is then 0-2 mm. You can increase the insertion depth yourself by removing the loosely inserted cardboard at a later date. When ordering, you can also order the frame directly with an increased insertion depth (depending on the profile and glass thickness). Thanks to the aluminum rear panel, the frame remains stable even without cardboard and provides a flat surface for the picture, cardboard or passepartout.

Appearance and dimensions

The discreet design is available in aluminum or solid wood - each in different profiles and colours. The spacer strips are available in a choice of white, matt silver or black. This allows the colours of frame and cardboard/passepartout to be well coordinated. Try it out with the 3D view as a preview of your currently configured product.

The Conservo-Distance magnetic frame is available to order online in 40 standard formats or as a millimeter-precise production from 130 x 130 mm up to 1200 x 1400 mm. Larger order formats in XL are possible on request.

Hanging and securing

For quick and secure hanging in landscape or portrait format, the back is provided with special hanging holes for horizontal compensation with slanted nails. To protect the wall and ensure air circulation, four height-adjustable wall spacers with felt dots in the corners keep the distance. These are free from harmful plasticizers and leave no residue on the wall. On request, the dust-tight frame can be ordered with the HALBE picture locks BS 1 R and BS 4 - ideally in combination to secure the frame to the wall and prevent unauthorized opening.
